Privacy Policy

Effective: March 18, 2026

Your privacy is not a marketing checkbox. It is the foundation of what Elvera is. This policy is written to be read, not just accepted.

What we collect

Nothing. Elvera does not have servers that receive your journal data. Every moment, reflection, intention, mood, and photo you capture is stored exclusively on your iPhone using Apple's SwiftData framework.

We do not collect: your journal entries, your mood data, your health data, your name, your email address, your usage patterns, or any analytics about how you use the app.

iCloud

Elvera does not currently use iCloud to sync or backup your data. Your data exists on your device only. If you lose your device without an iTunes/Finder backup, your data cannot be recovered — because we don't have it.

AI features

If you use Elvera's AI features (Weekly Letters, Evolution Cards), you supply your own Anthropic API key. When AI features run, a summary of your journal data is sent directly from your device to Anthropic's API. This data is governed by Anthropic's Privacy Policy. Elvera does not receive, intercept, or store this data.

Your API key is stored in your device's local storage and is never transmitted to Elvera.

Payments

Elvera Plus subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. Elvera does not receive your payment information. Apple's privacy policy governs payment data.

Permissions

Data deletion

To delete all your Elvera data, go to Settings → Your Data → Delete a day, or Settings → Account → Delete my account. Deleting the app also removes all data, as everything is stored locally.

Changes

If we ever change this policy in a way that reduces your privacy, we will notify you in the app and update the effective date above.
