Terms of Service

Effective March 19, 2026
By downloading, installing, or using Elvera ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). The App is operated by Elvera / Future Enterprises ("we," "us," "our"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement.
Elvera is a private identity-modeling application for iOS. It allows you to:
The App offers three tiers of access:
| Tier | Price | Includes |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | Core prompts, limited synthesis, local storage, basic identity model |
| Plus | Monthly / Annual | Full prompt library, unlimited synthesis, advanced facets, legacy packets, voice recordings |
| Circle | Monthly / Annual | Everything in Plus plus witness invitations, circle management, external witness web forms, collaborative identity building |
Plus and Circle subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store and auto-renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings. Price changes will be communicated in advance as required by Apple's policies.
If a free trial is offered, it will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless cancelled. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited upon purchasing a subscription.
You retain full ownership of all content you create within the App. This includes your prompt responses, voice recordings, identity model, synthesis results, legacy packets, public card data, and any other data generated through your use of the App. We claim no ownership or license over your content beyond what is necessary to operate the service.
Legacy packets you create and export are yours. You control who receives them, when they are shared, and under what conditions. We do not retain copies of your legacy packets.
By using the App, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your anonymized response text solely for the purpose of generating synthesis results via our API. This license does not extend to any other use and terminates when you stop using the App.
A public card is a shareable snapshot of your Elvera identity. It may display your name, Elvera Number, selected badges, a brief identity summary, and any other fields you choose to include. Public cards are designed for sharing outside the App, for example as a link, embed, or image.
You decide whether to create a public card. If you do, you control exactly which information appears on it. You can edit, hide, or delete your public card at any time. Nothing appears on your public card unless you explicitly add it.
Information on a public card is, by definition, intended for public viewing. Do not include information on your public card that you want to keep private. We may cache or serve public card data from our systems to make sharing possible, but we will not use that data for any purpose other than displaying your card as you configured it.
Each Elvera user may be assigned a unique Elvera Number. This number serves as a stable, human-readable identifier within the Elvera ecosystem. Your Elvera Number is permanent and cannot be transferred to another user.
You control who can see your Elvera Number and find you through it. Visibility options include:
You can change your visibility setting at any time in the App.
We may evolve the number format, introduce additional identifier types, or expand lookup features over time. If changes materially affect how your number works or who can discover it, we will notify you in advance and give you the opportunity to adjust your settings. Your right to control your own visibility will not be reduced without your consent.
Badges are visual indicators that reflect aspects of your engagement with Elvera. They may represent milestones (such as completing a prompt series), verification status (such as confirming your identity), or community recognition (such as witness endorsements).
Each badge type has specific criteria. Some badges are earned automatically when you meet certain conditions within the App. Others may require external verification steps. Badge criteria will be documented within the App and may be updated over time.
Badges you earn appear on your profile and, if you choose, on your public card. You can hide individual badges from your public card at any time. Badges cannot be transferred between users. We reserve the right to revoke a badge if we determine it was earned through fraudulent means or if the underlying verification is no longer valid.
Circle-tier users may invite trusted individuals ("Witnesses") to contribute observations. By inviting a witness, you acknowledge that their contributions will become part of your local identity data.
Witnesses see only the specific prompts or questions you share with them. They do not have access to your full identity model, your synthesis results, your other responses, or your private data. A witness sees only what you explicitly send them.
Witnesses agree to the following when contributing:
You can revoke a witness's access at any time. Once revoked, the witness can no longer submit new contributions. Contributions already submitted remain part of your data unless you choose to delete them individually. A witness may also choose to withdraw their own contributions by contacting us.
External witnesses who submit via web form are subject to these same responsibilities. By submitting a contribution, external witnesses agree to these Terms as they pertain to the witness system.
Sentiments are emotional messages you can create and send to another Elvera user. They are designed for moments of sincerity, such as gratitude, apology, encouragement, or farewell. Sentiments are personal and intentional.
By default, a sentiment can be opened only once by its recipient. After it has been viewed, its content is no longer accessible. This is by design. Both sender and recipient should understand this before a sentiment is sent or opened.
You may only send a sentiment to someone who has agreed to receive sentiments from you, or who has their sentiment inbox open. You must not use sentiments to send threatening, harassing, or unwanted content. Recipients can block sentiment delivery from any user at any time.
Baby Elvera is a mode that allows a parent or legal guardian to begin building an identity model on behalf of a child who is too young to use the App independently. The managing adult retains full control of the profile, including all data, visibility settings, and sharing decisions.
Elder Elvera is a mode that allows a trusted family member or designated caretaker to manage an Elvera profile on behalf of an older adult who may need assistance. The managing person acts with the elder's consent (or legal authority where applicable) and controls data entry, privacy settings, and legacy configuration.
Only one person at a time may serve as the managing adult for a Baby Elvera or Elder Elvera profile. The manager is responsible for all decisions made on that profile and must act in the best interest of the person the profile represents.
For Baby Elvera, the profile is intended to be handed over to the child when they reach an appropriate age (at minimum, 13 years old). The managing adult initiates the handover process, after which the child gains full control and the managing adult's access is removed. For Elder Elvera, the managing role can be transferred to another designated person through a verified handover process within the App.
In some cases, an organization (such as a care facility, school, or memorial service) may manage Elvera profiles on behalf of individuals. Institution-managed profiles are subject to the following rules:
You can configure certain content to be released to designated recipients at a future date or upon a triggering event (such as a confirmed date, a manual release, or a verified life event). Once you set release conditions, those conditions govern when and to whom the content becomes available.
Some legacy content may be sealed, meaning it cannot be viewed by anyone (including you) until its release conditions are met. Once sealed, the content cannot be edited. You can delete sealed content before release, but you cannot unseal it to view or modify it.
We will make reasonable efforts to deliver legacy content according to your instructions. However, delivery depends on the continued operation of the service and the availability of valid recipient information. We recommend keeping recipient details up to date.
If you designate a digital heir or estate contact, that person may gain access to your legacy content according to the rules you set. We may require documentation (such as a death certificate or legal order) before releasing content to an estate contact. Your heir receives only the content you specifically designated for them, not your entire profile or identity model.
You have the right to export your data at any time. The App provides tools to export your prompt responses, synthesis results, and other profile data in a portable format. Exported data belongs to you and is not subject to any restrictions from us.
You can delete your data in the following ways:
When you delete data, it is removed from your device and, where applicable, from our systems. Some data may be retained in encrypted backups for a limited period (up to 30 days) before being permanently purged. We will tell you if any data cannot be deleted (for example, anonymized data already used in aggregate analysis).
If the Elvera Number system or account structure changes in the future, you will retain the right to migrate your data to any new system we introduce. We will not strand your data in an obsolete format without providing a migration path or export option.
The App uses AI to generate identity syntheses, surface patterns in your responses, and create summaries of your self-reported data. AI processing is performed on anonymized text that is sent to our synthesis API. The AI does not receive your name, contact information, or other directly identifying details unless you include them in your responses.
AI processing only occurs when you actively request a synthesis or when a feature you have enabled requires it. The App does not passively scan, analyze, or process your data in the background. You can use the App without ever triggering AI processing by simply not requesting syntheses.
Your personal content is not used to train, fine-tune, or improve AI models. Your responses are processed to generate your synthesis results and then discarded from our processing systems. We do not build datasets from user content.
We may use third-party AI providers to power synthesis features. These providers receive only anonymized text and are contractually prohibited from retaining, training on, or repurposing your data. We will identify our AI provider(s) in our Privacy Policy.
You agree not to use the App to:
Synthesis requests are subject to rate limits based on your subscription tier. We reserve the right to throttle or temporarily restrict API access to maintain service quality. Excessive or abusive use of the synthesis API may result in temporary suspension of synthesis features.
The Elvera name, brand, logo, visual identity, and synthesis engine are the intellectual property of Elvera / Future Enterprises. The App's code, design, prompt library, and synthesis methodology are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
These Terms grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the App on your devices in accordance with these Terms. This license does not include the right to modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available." While we strive to provide a reliable, thoughtful experience, we make no warranties, express or implied, regarding:
Elvera is a tool for self-reflection and identity exploration. It is not a substitute for professional psychological, medical, or legal advice. Synthesis results are generated by AI and should be treated as one perspective among many.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Elvera / Future Enterprises shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of data, loss of profits, or damages resulting from reliance on synthesis results.
Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through the following process:
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
You may stop using the App at any time. Because your data is stored locally, uninstalling the App will remove all your data from your device.
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App if you violate these Terms. In the event of termination, your right to use the App ceases, but your ownership of locally stored content is unaffected.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or on our website. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you should discontinue use of the App.
